Five Keys Home Free

Through strong relationships, compassion, and unprecedented access given by the California Department of Corrections, LSS has documented the personal stories of women, who live and work at Central California Women’s Facility and California Institute for Women. Created for Five Keys HomeFree, a nonprofit organization helping women unjustly convicted of killing their abusers to successfully transition back into society after release from prison. The first video shared sparked a donation of close to a half a million dollars with more donations that followed. Today HomeFree is open and residents are happily living there.
