Moving into a new house is stressful for any family – but when you’re the First Family, and your house is the White House, there’s a whole new level of complexity.
That was the topic of our inaugural podcast, launched last week for the White House Historical Association. It’s called The 1600 Sessions, and explores the stories, history and traditions of 1600 Pennsylvania through the eyes of those who’ve worked and lived there.
In our first episode, White House Historical Association President Stewart McLaurin sat down with Anita McBride, former Chief of Staff to Laura Bush, to learn what happens in the White House when one First Family moves out and another one moves in – with only six hours in between.
We’ll be working with the White House Historical Association on new episodes each month, so be sure to subscribe and check back in at The1600Sessions.org.
